07 — SEO & GEO

Being found by Google — and by the AI that answers instead of Google

Search is splitting in two. Some people still type a query and click a result. Increasingly, others ask an assistant and read the answer without clicking anything. If your business only exists in one of those worlds, you are invisible in the other.

The problem

What usually goes wrong

You do not appear for the things you actually do

You rank for your own company name, which people search when they already know you. For the service someone is looking to buy, you are nowhere.

The site is technically holding itself back

Slow pages, missing titles, no structured data, duplicate content, a sitemap nobody submitted. None of it is visible to you and all of it is visible to a crawler.

AI assistants answer without mentioning you

Someone asks ChatGPT or Gemini for a recommendation in your field. The answer is assembled from sources that state things clearly and are structured well. If that is not your site, you are not in the answer.

You paid for SEO and got a monthly report

Rankings went up for terms nobody buys from, traffic did not turn into enquiries, and the actual changes made to the site are hard to identify.

How we solve it

Our approach

  1. 01
We fix the technical foundation first

Speed, crawlability, titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data, internal linking, a clean sitemap. This is the part with the most reliable return and the least guesswork.

  2. 02
We write pages that answer a question directly

A page that states plainly what a thing is, what it costs and who it is for does well in search and gets cited by assistants. Vague marketing copy does neither.

  3. 03
We structure content so machines can quote it

Clear headings, short factual paragraphs, FAQ blocks and schema markup. That is most of what generative engine optimisation is: making it easy to extract a correct answer from your page.

  4. 04
    We measure enquiries, not rankings

A ranking is a proxy. The number that matters is how many people contacted you, which is what we set the tracking up to report.

Every project runs through the same five steps — investigation, understanding the problem, development, testing, then launch and automation. See how we work.

What you get

Delivered at the end of the week

  • A technical audit with the fixes applied, not just listed
  • Page titles, descriptions and structured data across the site
  • Content structured so both search engines and assistants can use it
  • Conversion tracking that reports enquiries

Scope is agreed in writing before we start. If the work will not fit in a week, we say so before you pay anything.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is GEO?

Generative engine optimisation — making your content easy for AI assistants to find, understand and cite. In practice it overlaps heavily with good technical SEO plus writing clearly and structuring facts properly.

How long does SEO take?

Technical fixes can show up within weeks. Ranking for competitive commercial terms takes months, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something. We will tell you which of your terms are realistic.

Do you guarantee first place on Google?

No, and neither can anyone else. Google does not sell ranking positions and does not accept guarantees on anyone’s behalf.
