04 — Mobile app development
One app, both stores, one team
Building for iPhone and Android used to mean two codebases, two teams and two sets of bugs. It does not any more. We build with React Native, so features land on both platforms at the same time and you pay for the work once.
The problem
What usually goes wrong
Traditional agencies quote iOS and Android as separate projects. You end up paying twice for the same feature and waiting while the second one catches up.
You are asked to commit half a year and a large budget before anyone knows whether users want the thing. By launch, the assumptions the plan was based on have moved.
Everything feels essential in a workshop. Without someone cutting scope hard, the first release grows until it is late.
The build is finished and then sits in review, rejected for a privacy label, a missing account-deletion route or a screenshot that breaks the rules.
How we solve it
Our approach
- 01One codebase, both platforms
React Native with Expo. One team, one build pipeline, features shipping to iOS and Android together instead of drifting apart.
- 02We cut the first version to something real
We work out the single thing the app has to do for a user to come back, build that properly, and leave the rest on a list. A small app that works beats a large one that is nearly ready.
- 03Store submission is part of the job
Privacy labels, account deletion, age ratings, screenshots, review notes. We have been through it and we prepare for it during the build, not after.
- 04You get the code
Your repository, your Apple and Google accounts, your app. If you want to take it elsewhere later, nothing stops you.
Every project runs through the same five steps — investigation, understanding the problem, development, testing, then launch and automation. See how we work.
What you get
Delivered at the end of the week
- An app that runs on iPhone and Android
- Your branding and your store listing
- Submission to the App Store and Google Play handled
- Source code and accounts in your name
Scope is agreed in writing before we start. If the work will not fit in a week, we say so before you pay anything.
Questions
Frequently asked
Is React Native as good as a native app?
For the overwhelming majority of apps, yes — and PawCal AI, our own product, is built this way. If you need heavy 3D, deep hardware access or sustained high-frame-rate graphics, native is the honest answer and we will tell you.
Who owns the Apple and Google developer accounts?
You do, in your company name. Publishing under an agency account is a trap that makes leaving expensive.
Do you keep working on it after launch?
If you want us to. See security and maintenance — otherwise you take the code and run it yourself.
